Our Story

In April 2023, Max Alperstein had an inspiring vision: to create a podcast that would provide him, a Latino with a diverse background, a platform for freely expressing his thoughts and breaking down barriers. Recognizing that he couldn't undertake this journey alone, Max found the ideal partner in Jacob Finkel, affectionately known as "Fink." Jacob's diverse knowledge and charismatic personality made him the perfect fit. Max and Jacob had initially met at their former summer camp, Camp Yavneh, and their friendship endured throughout their school years.

Together, they embarked on this venture, originally naming their project "Divine Interventions" before swiftly transitioning to "Fearless Interventions." With unwavering determination and the support of their families, Max and Jacob tirelessly worked on various aspects of their podcast, including designing logos, drafting legal documents, setting up channels, creating artwork, and crafting compelling podcast descriptions. Through their relentless efforts, their dream gradually transformed into a tangible reality.

On May 4, 2023, Max and Jacob released their first ever episode titled "A Start To Something Amazing - Fearless Interventions EP. 1." Since that momentous day, they have embarked on an incredible journey, creating countless memories. Max and Jacob are here to stay, eagerly looking forward to the ongoing adventure known as Fearless Interventions. Their enduring friendship has been a cornerstone of their shared success.

About Max Alperstein

Max was adopted by his mother when he was just nine months old, and they live in a single-parent household. He grew up in a tight-knit Jewish community in New York City, and the values he absorbed there hold a special place in his heart. Max attends the Abraham Joshua Heschel School, where he's been a student since Kindergarten. His interests include reading sports, philosophy, psychology and participating in acapella and his deep love for music. Max also deeply loves editing and graphic design as displayed all over Fearless Intervention's Website and episodes.

Max has a strong passion for podcasting because it grants him a voice. Growing up among people who were different from him, he often felt silenced and diminished. Having a microphone allows Max to express himself freely and share his thoughts. He's incredibly enthusiastic about a wide range of topics and can't wait to share them with you. Stay fearless!

About Jacob Finkel

Jacob grew up in a Jewish family in the suburbs of Boston. He attended a small Jewish private elementary/middle school from kindergarten to 8th grade. Currently, he is a student at Newton North High School, which offers a vastly different environment from what he's accustomed to. Nevertheless, it's a place where he can explore and excel in his true interests.

Jacob's passions encompass coding, statistics, and graphic design. He also actively engages in sports, particularly football and track.

His enthusiasm for podcasting has grown significantly since he started the Fearless Interventions podcast with Max. Jacob finds podcasting rewarding because it allows his voice to be heard, and he derives pleasure from creating something entirely new from scratch. Many refer to him as "Finkel" or simply "Fink" for short. Jacob eagerly anticipates sharing his knowledge on the various topics that Fearless Interventions plans to explore with you. Stay Fearless!
